Your favourite clubs and concert halls in Paris ?
I really liked La Bataclan when I was there, It had a sense of history and great sound! Apart from there I haven’t been to any clubs yet!
A bar or restaurant where you like to come when you are in Paris ?
To be honest, I haven’t spent that much time in Paris and haven’t really ‘hung out’ anywhere apart from a small place called ‘Shakespeare and Company’ That place is magical.
Your best concert this year ?
I have played 2 live shows as Ghost Culture, the second one at Electrowerkz in London being my favourite. It was so amazing playing my music to a full room of people. My favourite DJ gig was playing in the Panorama Bar in Berlin. That place really is what clubbing should be about and is so much more amazing than any other club I have been to. They have everything just right. It’s good that they have a door policy.
Your favourite festival ?
Primavera in Barcelona is the best festival for Lineup, Organisation and Location. For me its the best I’ve ever been to.
Last record listened to ?
I’m constantly listening to music. Right now I’m listening to Bryter Layter by Nick Drake. It’s beautiful
The artist you like to see in concert ?
I recently went to see the Knife, one of my favourite acts, and it was fantastic. I’m such a fan that I went to Cologne to see them last year.
The party dreamed according to you, what would it be?
Outdoors in the summer, no dance music, lylos on a lake, free food and drink and lovely people.
A last word ?
It’s extremely difficult for young people who want to make music for themselves to do that and sustain themselves from it. I feel for anyone who for the first time is making music and deciding which path to go- it’s a hard choice whether to make something purely for yourself when that it far less likely to secure you a living than making something more commercial. However, I think because of a saturation of paint-by-numbers pop, there will again be a resurgence of true artists who make music for themselves. This excites me.
